The Mission of the Atlanta Chapter of the Ichiyo School is to promote friendship and cooperation among its members through traditional Japanese ikebana and to develop and spread the Ichiyo style in the Atlanta and surrounding areas through workshops, demonstrations, exhibits, and educational programs of related subjects.
Ichiyo Ikebana of Atlanta began in 1994 under the Ichiyo Art Center, which was closed in 2006 and succeeded by Washi Accents.  In January, 2009, the Ichiyo School of Ikebana Atlanta Chapter was founded.
